Your Suite

Yes. Mains powered/linked smoke alarms are situated throughout the property, together with CO2 detectors associated with the boilers and fires.

Of course, each of our suites is self-contained. If the unit is particularly noisy, the best suite to choose is The Stable, as that is in a separate annexe to the main house.

Unfortunately we do have a lot steps about the property as it is built on a slope. There are steep steps down to the main house and the Dining Room, all access to the gardens is via steps. Tamar View Suite is on the first floor, up a flight of external steps. The Stable Suite has steps down to the bedroom and stairs up to the lounge; even accessing the Garden Room Suite is over a high thresh-hold.

So, Primrose Cottage B&B is not suited to anyone with mobility needs.

Each suite is unique. They all have their own entrance, exclusively for you, with your own key, meaning you can come & go as you wish. All three have their own lounge with comfy chairs, dining table & chairs, satellite TV, fridge with milk and bottled water supplied. There is a kettle, a range of teas, coffees and hot chocolate plus a jar of Ros’ homemade Cornish Fairings for you to enjoy.

The Stable suite is larger, with a small kitchenette and larger lounge upstairs taking full advantage of the views over the Tamar Valley.

Each suite has its own private bathroom separate from the bedroom.

The Stable and Tamar View suites have Queen sized beds, whilst the Garden Room can be configured either as 3′ Twin Beds, or a 6′ Super King Bed.

Full hi-speed broadband WiFi is available throughout the property. Crockery, cutlery and glasses, sharp cutting knife. Hairdryer. Internet Radio. USB charging sockets. Luggage Rack and Butler Tray Stand for food service. Iron and ironing board are available on request, as are maps, walking guides, National Trust guide, etc.

For your convenience, a selection of high-quality bath towels, hand towels & a bath mat are provided, along with the beautiful ‘Kitty’s Herbery’ toiletry products, Clovelly Soaps, cleansing wipes, sanatory bags (because we are on a septic system) are all provided for your use.

A heated towel rail and weighing scales are also provided.

In cooler weather the suites are heated by water-filled radiators on a central heating system. In addition an oil-filled movable radiator is in each suite.
